About Your Presenters:

Cassie Weightman

Cassie Weightman received a degree in Health and Human Development from Montana State University. After serving in the AmeriCorps in Florida and teaching English in South Korea, she began working at Ability Montana where she has been the Independent Living Specialist for 13+ years. Through this work, she is able to work closely with individuals to accomplish their goals, work toward increasing accessibility in the communities that she serves, and basically anything that creates more opportunities for people living with disabilities. In her free time, she helps run the small business her and husband, Jon Wick, own in Uptown Butte. She also loves being outside and dancing.

Kendra Brown

Kendra Brown is an Independent Living Specialist for Ability Montana in the Butte, MT Office.

She was born with a passion for helping others, so began volunteering in grade school for Special Olympics. She also joined a community theatre group that cast youth with and without disabilities, called Same Difference. They put on several productions and traveled across the state to share our message.

She started her first job at Silver Bow Developmental Disabilities Council when she was in high school. She continued working towards her goal of impacting others by pursing my degree at The University of Montana for Social Work.
