Welcome to the 2023 APRIL CONFERENCE

So Every Body Can Move Legislative Initiative

Whitney Doyle and Ryan Geddie

Session Overview:

The So Every Body Can Move legislative campaign aims to increase access for individuals who use a prosthesis(es) or orthosis(es) designed for physical activity, because we believe your right to move shouldn’t be up for review by insurance companies. The Amputee Coalition understands that physical activity and social participation are essential components of a healthy lifestyle for all and have partnered with organizations around the country to introduce legislation under the So Kids Can Move & So Every Body Can Move umbrella. In 2023, five states passed So Every Body Can Move insurance fairness laws, with 11 more interested in introducing legislation in 2024. Join the Amputee Coalition in this session to learn more about the legislation and how to bring the conversation to your state.
