Mental Illness is a Disability. But does your organization include Mental Illness when hiring those with disabilities? Are the needs of those with Mental Illness considered when planning for accommodations or accessibility? It should.

Hear from a leader in the Disability Community, Mandy Halloran, Director of Public Health & Disability Integration with Able SC; Mandy will share through her lived experience with Mental Illness, how she and Able SC have worked together to support her needs while living with and recovering from Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorder, and an Eating Disorder.

About your Presenters:

Mandy graduated from the University of South Carolina. She earned a certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from Upstream, a Center for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and is a current mentee of the school's founders. Mandy is a graduate of the SC Diversity Leaders Institute from the Riley Institute at Furman University & a founding member of the non-profit SC Women in Leadership; she serves on the Advisory Board for the SC Communities of Care, Office of Suicide Prevention as well as the SC Department of Mental Health 988 Advisory Board. Mandy is certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid by the National Council of Mental Wellbeing and is a Certified Peer Support Specialist. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Action Council for Cross-Cultural Mental Health & Human Services.
