This workshop describes alternatives to guardianship and the supported decision making model. As someone who has recently obtained guardianship back, this workshop provides the first-person perspective of rethinking what supports are necessary to ensure independence and safe guards. You do not always have to have a guardian, you can make decisions on your own by using the supported decision making model.
