00:21:40 Janeen: We have been fortunate to utilize the ADRC Grant / No Wrong Door Program. This provides participants with a free tablet/laptop. We offer assistance with basic functioning such as turning the device on/off, use Zoom, etc. Those who are eligible include people who don't have technology at all, or have very limited technology that doesn't meet their needs. Having these tablet/laptops help them break out of isolation, make appointments with their doctors (telehealth), etc. 00:26:56 Jed Barton: Bandwidth would be paramount 00:34:58 Kendra Garcia: Moe engagement from youth 00:35:02 Kendra Garcia: more 00:36:36 Angel Denardi: Getting consumers to participate with online events (that are mostly IL Skills related) even when they have the technology. 00:36:55 Kendra Garcia: yes most of the consumers I get are only interested in Care act 00:37:10 Janeen: (a little late) Good thing: Our American Sign Language (ASL) class has gone so well that we're starting a Part 2. In this set of sessions, we'll be trying to get Signers from all 50 states. This shows the differences in Signing/speech. Also get guest speakers who teach at colleges. 00:39:33 Kendra Garcia: Yes 00:39:45 DGonzalez: This is Diana from ILCKC. One of the biggest barriers I have noticed is that many of our consumers don't feel comfortable doing remote training. This has diminished the amount of services provided. 00:41:04 Heidi Frye: when there's no more cares act, we can still help consumers with pg&E disconts(ie- care/fera, med. baseline,...) 00:41:36 Kendra Garcia: Another barrier is online fatigued and inn ability to use the different plantforms 00:44:44 DGonzalez: I have been reaching out to various religious organizations in our community to share resources, and I have noticed a large amount of interest from these organizations. 00:45:08 Cindi: Same thing at Disability Partners, Sylva. Many people wanted help paying bills but had no interest in setting goals and working on independent living. We all had no training before being given the funds so we had to figure it out as we went along. However, we also had word of mouth that money was available so we received many from same neighborhoods and family members. Now we are experiencing repeat callers wanting help again now that the funds are gone. We also gave computers on a scholarship so that people would join our peer support group online. They never showed up. 00:46:12 Lisa Bonie: Yes re: Cindi's comments. 00:52:04 Cindi: I agree with you Alissa. It has totally been rewarding although frustrating as well. 00:54:32 Cindi: I can 00:57:01 Kendra Garcia: That is great Kholoud 00:57:19 Kholoud- DRAIL: Thank you 00:59:00 Janeen: Playing games together online using platforms like Kahoot, Jeopardy Labs, Trivia, etc. really helps with connection while on Zoom 00:59:04 Laura Rodriguez: Car is names Lightning McQueen 00:59:07 Laura Rodriguez: LOL 01:01:53 Sierra Royster (she/her/hers): https://april-rural.org/Covid-19/Electronic_Recreation.docx 01:02:15 Janeen: Samantha Jarvis, I'd love a link to that site! 01:02:41 Samantha Jarvis: https://www.airpano.com/ 01:02:58 Janeen: Thank you! 01:06:28 Sierra Royster (she/her/hers): Prezi https://prezi.com/ 01:07:39 Sierra Royster (she/her/hers): Discord 01:12:17 Jean Hall: Thanks for another good webinar, Sierra! 01:12:25 Angel Denardi: Thank you!!
